Location:
Dalat, capital of Lam Dong Province, is located approximately 308km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. At an elevation of 1,500 m, Dalat bears the look of an Old French city. It was founded in 1897 when Doctor Alexandre Yersin recommended that the area be developed as a resort town.

Dalat has many natural and artificial lakes such as Ho Xuan Huong, Than Tho, Da Thien, and Tuyen Lam bordered by lines of pine trees, which are a well-known feature of Dalat. A trip to Dalat is not complete until one goes to the Dalat Flower Gardens. The temperate climate of Dalat is suitable for flowers such as orchids, roses, lilies, and camellias.

Nowadays, tourists not only limit themselves to Dalat; they also visit the area of Langbian Highland and the ethnic minorities. Langbian Mountain?s highest peak at 2,165m is very tempting for climbers. From Lom Bieng Klo peak, one can see endless green mountains reflecting the silver rays of the sun. Many tours are organized in the area, including parachuting and climbing.
 
Climate         
Dalat is a city or Spring that the average maximum daily temperature is a cool 24oC ad minimum is at 15oC. The dry deason runs from December to March, the sunny season is from April to November.

You can come to Dalat by many ways
-          Bus and minibus: There?re daily buses from Ho Chi Minh to Dalat or Nha Trang to Dalat
-          Car and Motorbike: You can reach to Dalat by route Ho chi minh via Bao Loc and Di  Linh, this way will be faster than taking route via Ngoan Muc pass
-          By air: you can take the flight from Ho Chi Minh to Dalat by Vietnam airlines
 
Getting around
From the airport, you can take the bus of Vietnam airlines that cost only 4$, or a private taxi at around 11$ , even you can take mortobike taxi to the city at the cost 5$
 
Dalat is a calm city with the hilly terrain and long distances, it?s very nice for you to riding on bike to seeing Dalat
You can hire a bike at some hotels or ask for organising tours with travel agent.
Motorbike is also popular in Dalat for some touring around the city that take long distances and you want to see many things in the city
Taxi team in Dalat is realiable and you can take a taxi for a tour or go to any place in the city with good price
Car is usually for tours that be arranged in advance.
